TL;DR
Process Engineer (Etch & Implant): Sustaining daily production and driving long-term improvement projects in a semiconductor wafer fab with an accent on yield, capability, and performance improvement. Focus on delivering technical projects for cost and throughput optimization, monitoring Cpk levels, and ensuring process compliance.
Location: Manchester, UK. Must have right to work in the UK; no sponsorship or relocation packages provided.
Salary: £46,000 – £66,000 (inclusive of shift allowances)

What you will do
- Improve mechanical and electrical yields to meet departmental targets.
- Monitor Cpk levels across all processes and coordinate R&R studies on metrology equipment.
- Deliver technical improvement projects focused on yield, cost, throughput, and ease of manufacture.
- Support new product and platform development through process development activities.
- Generate and maintain accurate Wafer Fab Operator Instructions and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
- Right to work within the UK (no sponsorship offered).
- Degree or HND in a STEM discipline (Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry preferred).
- Semiconductor industry experience as a Process Engineer or a strong academic background as a graduate.
- Ability to work a rotating shift pattern of 12-hour shifts, including nights.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and priority management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

- Previous experience in Etch & Implant Process Engineering.
