Compliance Assurance Officer

Location: Hybrid, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What you will do

• Deliver compliance assurance reviews in line with the Global Compliance Management Programme and the annual EMAP Compliance Assurance Plan.
• Define testing approaches and review activities for assigned engagements.
• Maintain robust working papers and clear review documentation.
• Assess control effectiveness, identify compliance risks, and prepare reports covering findings, conclusions, and required actions.
• Work with business owners, management, and other stakeholders to agree practical remediation actions.

Requirements

• Around three years of experience in monitoring, testing, assurance, or audit within regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a substantial regulated organisation, ideally in financial services.
• Working knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations and their key principles.
• Experience delivering assurance or testing reviews, investigating issues, analyzing data, and documenting actionable findings.
• Structured task management and confidence discussing findings, risks, and actions with business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Professional audit qualification such as ACCA, CIA, or CISA.
