Commercial Compliance Manager, APAC

Location: On-site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What you will do

• Lead compliance policies and controls for third-party distributors and channel partners, including risk assessment, monitoring, due diligence, approvals, and red-flag resolution.
• Support compliant customer engagement, advise stakeholders on higher-risk activities, manage risk-based approvals, and meet local transparency reporting obligations.
• Deliver risk-based audits and monitoring, analyze selected transactions, identify root causes and emerging trends, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Create and deliver practical compliance training and communications for employees and third parties, including train-the-trainer sessions.
• Support and improve Legal and Compliance systems through user support, training, maintenance, analytics, automation, and approved AI tools while protecting confidential information and maintaining human oversight.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or global equivalent in Law, Finance, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience designing, implementing, or managing compliance, legal, regulatory, audit, or risk programs, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence stakeholders across cultures, functions, and seniority levels.
• Strong data and analytical skills, including data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, trend identification, and translating insights into management action.
• Experience using AI and digital tools for research, analysis, monitoring, communication, and process execution, with appropriate validation and data protection controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft 365 suite.

Nice to have

• Experience managing compliance programs in regulated environments, including third-party distributors or other channel partners.
• Professional proficiency in an additional regional language, particularly Japanese or Korean.
