What you will do
- Lead end-to-end virtual development, including simulation plans, model builds, and results delivery to meet performance and quality targets.
- Analyze the effects of advanced propulsion technologies (ICE, HEV, BEV) on vehicle energy consumption and drivability.
- Define next-generation propulsion architectures through analytical evaluation of proposed technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate models and ensure system-level performance.
- Conduct trade studies and quick studies to evaluate design alternatives.
- Develop and improve automation tools and workflows using Python, Tcl/Tk, and AI/ML.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (MS preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in propulsion or related engineering.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.
- Experience with analysis tools such as AMEsim, GT Suite, or Unified Model (Verde).
- Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain required export control authorization.
- No immigration sponsorship provided (e.g., H1-B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1).
Nice to have
- MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in testing, development, and calibration pertaining to energy consumption.
- Experience with system analysis and systems engineering methods.
- Knowledge of powertrain/vehicle controls and applied optimization.
