What you will do

• Review, approve, and sign-out clinical molecular, cytogenetic, and oncologic test reports.
• Interpret NGS and microarray data in the context of medical literature and patient demographics.
• Set and maintain standards for laboratory testing and analytical performance.
• Provide clinical and technical support to genetic counselors and laboratory staff.
• Manage and mentor a team, including succession planning and competency monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and state-specific regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• MD/DO and/or PhD in genetics or a related field required.
• Current California license/eligibility as a Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist required.
• ABMGG board-certified/eligible in Clinical Cytogenetics and/or Molecular Genetics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong background in human genetics, oncology, and variant interpretation resources.
• Management experience required.

Nice to have

• Current Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing from the NYS CLEP.
