What you will do

• Provide clinical, scientific, and administrative oversight for high-complexity CLIA laboratory testing services.
• Ensure laboratory operations comply with CLIA, CAP, NY State CLEP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide clinical interpretation of test results and consultation to physicians and patients.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs to monitor laboratory performance.
• Partner with Laboratory Operations on strategy, budgeting, resource planning, and technology evaluation.
• Lead and mentor laboratory professionals to foster a culture of quality and collaboration.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field (chemistry, biology, clinical laboratory science, or related).
• Qualification under CLIA 1988 personnel regulations.
• At least 10 years of experience in a high-complexity CLIA laboratory, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, validating, and implementing high-complexity molecular testing.
• Strong knowledge of oncologic pathology, laboratory regulations, and quality systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Nice to have

• M.D. or D.O. with eligibility for Massachusetts and North Carolina medical licenses.
• ABCC, ABMGG, ABB, or American Board of Pathology certification.
• Experience in molecular diagnostics, gene expression platforms, real-time PCR, and next-generation sequencing.
• Eligibility for a Certificate of Qualification in Oncology, Molecular and Cellular Tumor Markers from NY State.
