Location: Hybrid role requiring presence at Warren, MI or Austin, TX technical centers at least 3 times per week.

Compensation: $171,700 – $220,500 base salary.

What you will do

• Design and deploy privacy-by-design solutions across enterprise and vehicle software systems.
• Implement technical privacy controls including pseudonymization, encryption, and data masking.
• Collaborate with Legal, Cybersecurity, and Vehicle Engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
• Support the full vehicle data lifecycle from generation and collection to cloud ingestion and AI processing.
• Contribute to privacy engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Assist in audits and compliance assessments by providing demonstrable technical evidence.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of Privacy by Design principles and data protection concepts.
• Experience implementing privacy, security, or governance controls in enterprise environments.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, and Data Governance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with global privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
• Experience with cloud platforms, API architectures, and AI/ML data governance.
• Background in connected vehicle, automotive software, or embedded engineering.
• Knowledge of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) and consent management.
