Data Engineer (CX)

TL;DR

Salary: $180,000 – $260,000 per year

What you will do

• Own end-to-end data architecture, defining capture, modeling, and serving of critical business data.
• Lead the CX and Logistics Data Domains, managing foundations for metrics like customer satisfaction and shipping.
• Design and implement canonical data models as a source of truth for analytics, ML, and LLMs.
• Build observability systems including tests, lineage, and monitoring to enforce data quality at scale.
• Automate operational workflows and reconcile data across warehouses and external systems.
• Enable insights by exposing high-quality data through semantic layers, APIs, and real-time query systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a data or software engineer building warehouses or distributed data systems.
• Expertise in designing data models using dimensional, Data Vault, or ledger-style techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Debezium, dbt, Spark, Flink, Dagster, or Airflow.
• Experience operating cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Proficiency in writing production-grade Python and SQL code.
• Must be based within commuting distance of New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
