What you will do

• Define the multi-year technical strategy for software security and guide architectural decisions across the organization.
• Lead the development of common security infrastructure across business units to combat data sprawl and over-permissioning.
• Champion Security Reliability Engineering (SecRelEng) to improve the resilience and availability of security services.
• Drive security engineering excellence for critical systems, including tokenization platforms and mobile software.
• Partner with engineering leaders to integrate security practices early into the development lifecycle via Secure SDLC and threat modeling.
• Mentor engineers on system design and technical execution to foster overall technical excellence within InfoSec.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US (compensation tied to US location zones).
• 10+ years of experience shipping production software, with at least 5 years focused on scaling security practices in large environments.
• Proven technical leadership at a Principal level (L8+ capabilities preferred).
• Mastery of system design and architecture for solving ambiguous, domain-heavy problems.
• Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and countermeasures in high-volume, real-time transaction environments.
• Ability to write production-quality code for security automation and tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial technology, payments, or cryptocurrency/bitcoin domains.
• Track record of driving significant technical initiatives across multiple organizational boundaries.
• Experience building security systems designed for leverage to achieve sub-linear resource growth.
