Electrical Technician (Datacenter)

TL;DR

Electrical Technician (Engineering): Maintaining and scaling low-to-high voltage power distribution systems for high-performance AI data centers with an accent on HV/LV switchgear, UPS, and generator reliability. Focus on ensuring maximum uptime through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex electrical faults, and supervising specialist contractors.

Location: On-site in Glomfjord, Norway. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain HV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and battery systems.
• Perform planned preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Respond to system alarms using DCIM, EPMS, and BMS tools.
• Support commissioning, energisation, and Integrated Systems Testing.
• Supervise specialist contractors and maintain detailed switching logs and asset documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NEK 400, FSE, and DSB electrical safety requirements.

Requirements

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in industrial or critical environments with knowledge of transformers and switchgear.
• Ability to interpret single line diagrams and strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Fluent in English (company language).
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Norway.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in data center environments.
• HV Authorised Person certification or willingness to be trained.
• Experience with Schneider, Eaton, Vertiv, ABB, or Siemens systems.
• Knowledge of cooling systems and DCIM/BMS/EPMS.
