MedTech Device Field Service Engineer or Technician (Medical Devices)

Location: Oslo, Norway; requires weekly local, regional, and national travel and availability within 30 miles of a major airport.

What you will do

• Organize, assemble, install, and configure automated medication dispensing systems.
• Work with hardware, software, and mechanical medical devices in healthcare facilities.
• Review schematics, drawings, documentation, and logistics supporting installation activities.
• Conduct post-installation checks, product testing, and data recording.
• Coordinate with support staff, design engineers, project managers, and healthcare personnel on timelines, equipment layouts, operations, and workflows.
• Complete assignments in line with quality and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Upper secondary education or higher.
• Spoken English and Swedish are required.
• At least one year of related electronics, hardware, software, or mechanical experience.
• Comfort with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work independently, communicate professionally, and collaborate with technical and healthcare personnel.
• Active unrestricted driver’s license, personal vehicle, and willingness to travel nationwide are required.

Nice to have

• Military experience in electronics-related roles.
• Experience working independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.

• Part-time, assignment-based schedule with approximately 16–30 working hours per typical week, plus travel time.

• Open availability from Monday through Friday is required.
