What you will do

• Conduct field and beach engineering activities including installation, repair, testing, and surveying.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of submarine cable systems.
• Ensure safety and integrity across associated power management and cable protection systems.
• Execute day-to-day operations to safeguard critical national and global network infrastructure.
• Work in varied and challenging environments, including on ships, boats, and in rivers or estuaries.

Requirements

• Experience in fibre network build and repair, including fibre jointing.
• Proficiency in optical testing and fault investigation.
• Experience with optical transmission equipment operations.
• Willingness to work away from home for extended periods in aquatic environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in subsea cable installation and repair.
• Skills in subsea fault locating (Optical and Electrical).
• Knowledge of subsea network operations and management.
• Experience with power feed equipment operations.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
