What you will do

• Design and implement network infrastructure ensuring high availability, efficiency, and security.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and collaborate on system optimization.
• Manage capacity planning, bandwidth forecasting, and hardware/software licensing.
• Coordinate with project management and engineering teams on complex technical initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians while providing technical direction.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation and support materials.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in IT engineering or telecommunications.
• Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications operations, protocols, and standards.
• Proficiency with network hardware and software including Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia.
• Ability to work additional time on weekends, holidays, or after hours during emergencies.

Nice to have

• Experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE.
