What you will do

• Process medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner using company software.
• Read and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations to ensure accurate processing.
• Support the resolution of HIPAA-related release issues.
• Organize records and documents to complete the release of information process.
• Provide exemplary customer service in person, via phone, and email.
• Maintain compliance and confidentiality according to provided reference materials.

Requirements

• Must be based in Rancho Mirage, CA
• 2+ years of experience in medical records or healthcare settings.
• 2+ years of experience in clerical or office work.
• Proficiency with desktop computers, scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice to have

• RHIT certification.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations regarding Protected Health Information.
• Some college education.
