TL;DR

Lead Tier 2 SOC Analyst (Cybersecurity): Managing the end-to-end cybersecurity incident response lifecycle for clients with an accent on threat intelligence review and incident investigation. Focus on coordinating response activities, mentoring junior analysts, and leveraging SIEM and ELK stack for forensic analysis.

Location: On-site, Washington, D.C. (4/5 times a week)

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 a year

What you will do

• Oversee and coordinate the full cybersecurity incident response lifecycle from identification to recovery.
• Analyze and prioritize security incidents escalated from Tier 1 analysts to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, SOPs, and workflows for efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure effective incident resolution.
• Interpret threat intelligence from various sources to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Guide and mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts on tools and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience leveraging SIEM systems to correlate events and identify malicious patterns.
• Ability to use forensic tools to collect and preserve evidence for legal purposes.
