TL;DR
People Operations Manager (AI): Building and operating People Operations infrastructure for Nscale’s Nordic hub and global People function with an accent on time and attendance, payroll coordination, systems implementation, and Norwegian employment compliance. Focus on designing scalable processes, resolving local and global compliance conflicts, implementing Workday improvements, and supporting expansion across EMEA and North America.
Location: EMEA; Norway. Based in the Nordic hub with flexibility to travel within the Nordics and Europe.

What you will do
- Stabilize time and attendance processes in partnership with the local People Partner and global Payroll team.
- Lead the introduction and improvement of People systems, including Workday, for the Nordic hub and global operations.
- Manage employee lifecycle operations in line with Norwegian and Nordic employment law and global People processes.
- Handle statutory HR reporting under Norwegian law, including NAV requirements, and support employee relations.
- Own hands-on People Operations administration while identifying opportunities for automation, documentation, and process improvement.
- Support cross-functional People projects and the expansion of hubs across the Nordics, EMEA, and North America.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in People Operations, preferably in a fast-growing technology company or startup.
- Experience working closely with Payroll, particularly on time and attendance or other payroll-impacting processes.
- Experience introducing or implementing People systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Norwegian and Nordic employment law and compliance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with local and global People, Payroll, and business partners.
- Norwegian social security/D number and fluent Norwegian are required.
