Principal Solution Engineer (AI)

Principal Solution Engineer (AI/Cloud Data): Leading technical sales cycles and designing complex data architectures for enterprise customers with an accent on generative AI and machine learning integration. Location: Hybrid (Menlo Park, CA or Bellevue, WA); must be based in the US

Compensation: $189K – $248K Base / $252,000 - $330,000 OTE

What you will do

• Present Snowflake's technology and vision to C-level executives and technical contributors at prospective companies.
• Lead the technical sales cycle, providing value-based demonstrations and managing enterprise Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve products and marketing strategies.
• Perform deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks to align them with Snowflake Data Architecture.
• Analyze competitive and complementary technologies to effectively position Snowflake in the market.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Broad experience with large-scale Database/Data Warehouse technology, ETL, and cloud concepts (Data Lake, Data Mesh).
• Ability to be onsite with customers approximately 30% of the time.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Data Science or Business Administration (MBA).
• Experience collaborating with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture.
