What you will do

• Design architectures and write RFCs for platform, reliability, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in shipping scalable, reliable, and cost-effective services.
• Partner with Product and Engineering Directors to scope and size large-scale platform initiatives.
• Set company-wide standards for operational excellence, observability, and incident response.
• Own and evolve the infrastructure tech radar, managing the adoption and deprecation of technologies.
• Mentor and coach engineers up to Staff level across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, reliable cloud-based infrastructure.
• Deep expertise managing production Kubernetes clusters at scale (lifecycle, optimization, security).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and modern GitOps practices.
• Strong software engineering foundations, preferably with Go.
• Operational experience with Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Istio.
• Previous experience in an Engineering leadership position such as Staff, Principal, or Architect.

Nice to have

• Experience with NodeJS.
• Familiarity with LLMOps, including model gateways (LiteLLM) and tracking (MLflow).
• FinOps mindset to balance infrastructure spend against reliability and performance.
