What you will do

• Lead the architecture and technical strategy for RCM payments and claims submission systems.
• Design and scale mission-critical, distributed backend services to support business growth.
• Partner with product and clinical stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges.
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical culture through code reviews and documentation.
• Drive technical excellence and modern engineering practices across the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in complex, distributed systems.
• Expertise in backend distributed architecture (microservices, event-driven systems).
• Experience in full-stack engineering (TypeScript, React, Node.js).
• Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives from conception to delivery.
• Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience at startup or growth-stage companies.
• Strong domain knowledge in financial or healthcare systems (HIPAA, claims, payments).
• Experience with Kafka and AWS.
