Salary: 89,600 CAD – 166,400 CAD

What you will do

• Build ingestion pipelines for large-scale netlists and simulation data.
• Implement high-performance I/O for multi-TB circuit databases.
• Develop serialization/deserialization layers bridging Python and C++ components.
• Implement task distribution with fault-tolerant scheduling for long-running simulations.
• Develop resource management, load balancing, and observability for distributed workflows.
• Optimize task granularity and dependency management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building distributed systems with Python.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Dask, Spark, Ray, or Celery.
• Experience with high-performance data formats (HDF5, Parquet, Arrow, or similar columnar formats).
• Familiarity with Python/C++ interop using pybind11 or nanobind.
• Strong production-level Python programming skills and software engineering best practices.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Burnaby, Canada.

Nice to have

• Background in EDA, VLSI, semiconductor design, or computational engineering.
• Experience with HPC job schedulers (Slurm, PBS, LSF).
• Knowledge of GPU acceleration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with Go or visualization tools like Plotly, Bokeh, and Datashader.
