Senior Software Engineer (Voice Platform)

What you will do

• Design, develop, deliver, and operate network-facing voice-platform services for real-time communications.
• Build and maintain systems software in C and cloud backend services in Java.
• Develop and support scalable, observable, production-ready services on AWS.
• Apply networking and Linux expertise to integrate and troubleshoot communications workloads.
• Investigate production issues across application, networking, and systems layers.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps, QA, security, and operations teams while contributing to design, testing, monitoring, CI/CD, and incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Professional experience with C or systems-oriented software development and Java backend services.
• Good networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, TLS, and sockets.
• Solid Linux experience in development or production environments.
• Experience building or supporting services in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Ability to debug complex systems, work independently, collaborate effectively, and quickly learn SIP/VoIP and real-time communications concepts.

Nice to have

• Hands-on depth in both C and Java.
• Spring Boot, Python, AWS Lambda, and web application development experience.
• Broader AWS experience with ECS/EKS, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with SIP, VoIP, or open-source telecom platforms such as OpenSIPS, Kamailio, Asterisk, or FreeSWITCH.
