Associate Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Contribute to backend components powering the product.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other engineers to build reliable server-side functionality.
• Maintain secure and well-tested backend services with guidance from senior engineers.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, security, and validation.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Learn from experienced engineers in an open and collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in Hungary is required.
• 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships, university projects, or personal projects.
• Basic knowledge of Java.
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
• Interest in backend development and distributed systems.
• Willingness to learn authentication and authorization technologies, with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Exposure to frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue.
• Experience with personal, academic, or open-source projects.
• Knowledge of Go/Golang.
