Chartered Building Surveyor

What you will do

• Manage client relationships and report to Partners while delivering value for money and strong commercial outcomes.
• Prepare key-stage reports, programmes, surveys, specifications, and other project documentation from feasibility through completion and post-handover.
• Manage multiple projects on live operational sites, including project teams, stakeholders, workloads, and deadlines.
• Assist with contract document preparation and administer building contracts, including JCT contracts.
• Manage design, health and safety, procurement, commercial, contractual, quality, security, and environmental processes.
• Undertake asset management surveys and planned maintenance inspections, taking ownership from project brief through final completion and occupation.

Requirements

• Degree in Building Surveying or a similar technical discipline.
• Strong technical delivery experience and experience managing complex projects proactively and diligently.
• Excellent specification writing skills and good knowledge of JCT Contracts.
• Track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and providing client-facing technical delivery.
• Ability to build long-term client relationships and prioritise workloads while delivering deadlines.
• Previous employment by a consultancy.
• Client-focused, positive, proactive collaborator who shares knowledge, supports colleagues, works as a team player, and demonstrates a willingness to learn.
