Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing and maintaining mission-critical enterprise software for trusted device access with an accent on authentication and secure access domains. Focus on building resilient, high-availability distributed services and guiding the evolution of security infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid, must work from the assigned office (Poland) a minimum of 3 days per week

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise software enforcing trusted access from Web, Mobile, and Desktop platforms.
• Lead development of authentication and secure access components to ensure resilience and security.
• Own services end-to-end, from architecture and design to deployment and observability.
• Drive architectural discussions to evolve hirify.global's security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers and security teams on multi-quarter initiatives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to triage and respond to critical issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with a track record of leading technical initiatives.
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable Java code.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems with high uptime and security requirements.
• Ability to mentor other engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in or able to work from the office at least 3 days per week.
• Growth mindset to leverage AI in decision-making and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience in enterprise security, identity, or access control domains.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with PHP, TypeScript, and React.
• Previous experience with on-call rotations.
