What you will do

• Lead end-to-end category management, including sourcing strategies, RFXs, and contract negotiations for defined sub-categories.
• Manage contract lifecycles and supplier relationship/performance management (SRM/SPM) to reduce overall costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders to drive procurement policy compliance.
• Conduct market research and spend analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Integrate environmental and social considerations into decision-making to champion sustainable procurement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in category management, sourcing, or procurement.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing commercial strategies.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex spend data.
• Must be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Strong experience with Coupa E-Purchasing platform.
• CIPS membership.
• Experience in Construction, Fitout, Marketing, MRO, Corporate Services, or Packaging categories.
