What you will do

• Manage train operations, including connecting/disconnecting air hoses and replacing broken railcar knuckles.
• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing and ensure proper alignment.
• Conduct thorough train and equipment inspections in accordance with federal regulations.
• Monitor track conditions for issues and report on passing train conditions.
• Coordinate daily work through various communication devices, interpreting signals for train movement.

Requirements

• Must have valid US employment authorization without requiring sponsorship.
• Ability to report for duty at the designated Brookfield, MO location.
• English proficiency (read, write, speak) required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions on uneven surfaces.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors and differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds.
