What you will do
- Design and build high-availability Java/Micronaut services across post-trade and analytics platforms.
- Develop statements, confirmations, and reconciliations as the source of truth for institutional clients.
- Implement and extend regulatory reporting coverage for new jurisdictions.
- Own production systems end-to-end, including SLOs, automated CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
- Design event schemas and data models prioritizing reconciliation, idempotency, and auditability.
- Partner with Trading Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams globally.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production systems in financial services or highly regulated environments.
- Strong proficiency in backend and data technologies, specifically Java, Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing clean schemas and working with analytical stores like BigQuery.
- Track record of delivering fault-tolerant systems with rigorous testing, observability, and HA/DR practices.
- Test-driven, agile working style with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to use LLMs (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to accelerate delivery without compromising standards.
Nice to have
- Cloud and DevOps fluency with GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and middleware such as Kafka and Aeron.
- Familiarity with big-data ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks) and workflow orchestration (Airflow, DBT).
- Knowledge of frontend technologies like React and TypeScript.
