Senior Engineer, Post-trade Brokerage Engineering (Java)

What you will do

• Design and build high-availability Java/Micronaut services for post-trade and analytics platforms.
• Develop statements, confirmations, and reconciliations serving as institutional clients’ source of truth.
• Deliver regulatory reporting capabilities as the business expands into new jurisdictions.
• Own production systems end to end, including SLOs, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Design event schemas and data models focused on reconciliation, idempotency, auditability, and trade-lifecycle integrity.
• Collaborate with Trading Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Finance across global teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production systems in financial services or another high-stakes, regulated environment.
• Strong backend and data-technology fundamentals, including Java, Python, PostgreSQL, and analytical stores such as BigQuery.
• Experience designing clean schemas and data models.
• Proven ability to deliver fault-tolerant systems with rigorous testing, observability, and HA/DR practices.
• Test-driven, agile working style with ownership of end-to-end problem solving.
• Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree, or equivalent professional experience; ability to use large language models such as Claude or Gemini to accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering standards.

Nice to have

• Cloud and DevOps experience with GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and middleware such as Kafka or Aeron.
• Familiarity with BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or DBT.
• Familiarity with React or TypeScript.
