Qualitative Research Associate (International Development)

TL;DR

Qualitative Research Associate (International Development): Contributing to studies, evaluations, and technical assistance in low- and middle-income countries with an accent on qualitative data collection and synthesis. Focus on analyzing complex data from interviews and focus groups to inform policy and program development for international donors.

Location: Remote within the USA or from office locations (Arlington, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Sacramento, Austin). Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship available.

Salary: $33 - $40 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct literature reviews and policy scans to synthesize information for project teams.
• Execute primary data collection via interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using specialized software.
• Prepare reports, briefs, and data visualizations to interpret research findings.
• Support business development through proposal writing and project management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree in social sciences.
• Proven experience in qualitative data collection.
• Proficiency with qualitative analysis software such as NVivo, ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, or Dedoose.
• Experience working in other countries.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
