What you will do
- Lead the expansion strategy for new markets across EMEA and the Middle East, including opportunity sizing and defining win-strategies.
- Design market entry models, including licensing paths, entity structures, and commercial models.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate regulatory requirements into the product roadmap and sequencing.
- Develop AI-assisted tools, templates, and operating rhythms to systematize and automate the market expansion process.
- Own the governance and launch-readiness process, managing cross-functional sign-offs and risk mitigation.
- Execute high-priority CEO Office initiatives such as strategic reviews, restructuring, or crisis response.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB), regulatory/financial services law, or fintech expansion roles.
- Proven track record of owning complex, multi-stakeholder programs end-to-end.
- Experience with financial services regulatory and licensing topics (e.g., payments, e-money, banking).
- Must be based in London.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools for research, documentation, and workflow automation.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
Nice to have
- Direct experience driving license applications or market launches in EMEA or the Middle East.
- A background combining strategic problem-solving (consulting) and in-house operational execution.
- Prior experience working within a CEO Office or central strategy and operations team.
- Ability to build and iterate lightweight AI tooling for tracking risks and dependencies.
