TL;DR

Manufacturing Engineer II (Medtech): Developing and sustaining production fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing processes for ECLS products and catheters with an accent on yield improvement and operational excellence. Focus on executing validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ), implementing Lean transformation initiatives, and performing root cause analysis for process optimization.

Location: Dexter, Michigan, USA. Onsite (5 days a week)

Salary: $83,200 - $124,800 USD

What you will do

• Develop, sustain, and improve production fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Identify process improvement opportunities using DOE, SPC, and Lean manufacturing tools.
• Execute validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) to implement new fixtures and equipment on production lines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Regulatory, and R&D to drive operational excellence.
• Develop shop floor work instructions and train operators on equipment and methods.
• Manage project timelines and scope while providing day-to-day production support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization (sponsorship is not available for this level).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Quality System documentation and regulated processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing automation, vision systems, or PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or manufacturing process improvements.
