Location: Hybrid (4 days a week in San Francisco, CA)

Salary: $125,000 – $165,000

What you will do

• Own end-to-end inference pricing economics, connecting token economics and compute costs to pricing and packaging decisions.
• Drive billing operations to ensure accurate translation of pricing into invoiced revenue across consumption and hosted customers.
• Act as the financial partner for complex, technically nuanced deals, providing data-driven pricing recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to evaluate new model launches and consumption-based offerings.
• Analyze unit economics and gross margin drivers to identify risks and opportunities for monetization strategy.
• Establish the operating backbone for pricing and billing through documentation, controls, and automation.

Requirements

• Background in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, strategic finance, or a similar analytically rigorous role.
• Advanced proficiency in building and maintaining complex spreadsheet-based financial models.
• Ability to work directly with data using SQL queries and usage dashboards to verify billing behavior.
• Strong interest in AI and a perspective on the future of model and compute economics.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex financial insights to non-finance audiences.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Direct experience owning pricing, packaging, or monetization strategy.
• Experience with usage-based, API, or developer-platform business models.
• Hands-on experience with billing platforms such as Orb, Metronome, or Stripe Billing.
