Salary: $134,961.00 - $188,945.40 (WA applicants)

What you will do

• Develop platform software for embedded avionics systems, including device drivers, middleware, and applications.
• Partner with hardware and systems engineers to shape software requirements and ensure seamless integration across multiple platforms.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions to influence the future of embedded systems.
• Drive innovation through performance optimization and the implementation of scalable, portable software solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, debugging, and performance analysis across varied hardware environments.
• Create technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and API references.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Expert proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Hands-on experience with real-time systems, multitasking, and synchronization in embedded environments.
• Knowledge of ARM and x86 architectures, and RTOS, QNX, or Yocto Linux environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee due to Export Control Regulations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NASA Core Flight Software (cFS).
• Knowledge of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT).
• Experience in safety-critical software development within aerospace or automotive industries.
