Location: Residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA or VA. If located in Washington state within reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, visit HQ Tuesdays & Wednesdays; otherwise, work remotely from approved remote locations.

Salary: $117,200.00–$143,200.00 annually (target pay range); full pay range $91,000.00–$169,400.00 annually.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable member-facing and internal applications.
• Modernize digital platforms, including website modernization and personalization capabilities.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations powering critical digital services.
• Create data-driven application components (database components, data models, scripts, migrations) and support scalable reliability.
• Deliver high-quality code through coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews in an Agile environment.
• Support CI/CD and production releases; troubleshoot issues and improve/automate engineering workflows.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience designing software and writing production code in a team environment.
• Strong React development experience.
• Experience building and supporting APIs in Java and/or .NET environments.
• Strong database experience including SQL, plus understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling.
• Experience with cloud-native applications on major platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity) and TDD with unit testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOLID, OOP, and software design patterns.
• Knowledge of Open Source (OSS) and Linux/bash environments.
• Experience using static code analysis tools for secure coding vulnerability remediation.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled development tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Codex) and adopting AI-assisted development practices.
