What you will do

• Write production-quality code for distributed systems, including messaging systems and microservices.
• Develop APIs, automation tools, and serverless runtimes to enhance platform integration.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high service reliability.
• Design and operate scalable systems across data centers, edge devices, and the cloud.
• Implement AI/ML solutions for large-scale predictions within rail network operations.
• Participate in design reviews and a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the US (H-1B transfers, TN, and STEM OPT with 2+ years eligibility are accepted).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 2 years of relevant software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience developing and deploying high-quality software in production systems.
• Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Engineering experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
• Prior experience delivering highly reliable distributed systems in production environments.
• Interest in sustainable infrastructure and resource awareness.
