What you will do

• Mentor, support, and develop a team of software engineers to grow impact and craft.
• Lead delivery of Firefox Suggest Ads initiatives across backend services, partner integrations, experimentation, measurement, and reliability improvements.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to navigate ambiguity driven by privacy expectations, policy considerations, and evolving requirements.
• Ensure software quality by aligning with Mozilla standards for reliability, maintainability, security, and privacy.
• Create effective team processes with clear communication and support through uncertainty.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding to strengthen the team over time.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years of people management experience.
• Proven track record leading teams that deliver production software.
• Strong judgment in prioritization and balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices (planning, issue triage, delivery workflows).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers and partner teams to deliver outcomes.
• Comfort working in a distributed, asynchronous environment.
