Data Engineer Manager

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers while contributing hands-on to development and engineering best practices.
• Define and drive the technical strategy for Journey Analytics data platforms, including scalable design and implementation.
• Maintain, optimize, and automate GitHub code repositories; refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability and reusability.
• Design and build modular, reusable data components and scalable data models for analytics and reporting use cases.
• Develop and manage automated data pipelines in Databricks, ensuring reliability and scalability for downstream consumption.
• Own data quality, governance, performance, and reliability across pipelines and datasets; collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with GitHub and version control workflows.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks.
• Proven experience refactoring and maintaining legacy codebases.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and reusable component design for analytics/reporting.
• Ability to lead cross-functionally and take ownership of initiatives with minimal supervision.

• Experience using Genie (Databricks).
