Principal Data Architect (Snowflake/Azure)

What you will do

• Own the target architecture for a large-scale Finance data platform modernization.
• Design CDC replication, Fabric/OneLake lakehouse landing, and layered Snowflake data warehouse models.
• Define curated data layers, dimensional models, incremental transformations, and reconciliation patterns.
• Design a single certified BI semantic model with governed and versioned metric definitions.
• Work hands-on with the development team and maintain architecture decision records and quality gates.
• Lead technical discovery with client architecture, security, and platform teams, resolving interoperability, network, and identity questions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience delivering enterprise data architecture and cloud data platform modernization programs.
• Strong Snowflake experience with layered raw/staging/curated models and incremental transformation patterns.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake or a comparable lakehouse platform and cross-platform interoperability.
• Experience designing CDC replication pipelines from relational sources using tools such as Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, or Debezium.
• Experience with governed BI semantic layers, data governance, classification, masking, row-level access, and lineage.
• Fluent English at C1 level is required for direct engagement with client architecture, security, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP used for financial or GL reporting.
• Experience in mortgage, lending, or broader financial-services data platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development toolchains in a governed SDLC.
