What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of high-impact home automation features end-to-end.
• Develop backend services and data infrastructure for rules, schedules, and automation notifications.
• Collaborate across the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Mentor other engineers and shape the technical direction through design reviews and architectural decisions.
• Research and apply new technologies to solve complex project goals.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend skills building HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL) and deep knowledge of SOLID principles.
• Experience with C# and .NET Core.
• Solid database fundamentals including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient systems and performing deep testing across unit, integration, and E2E layers.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Kraków office.

Nice to have

• Experience with "If this Then that" style automation systems.
• Knowledge of MicroPython, assembly, or low-level programming languages.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed event streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively while maintaining code quality.
