Senior Finance Manager (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid working in the UK, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Office locations are Dorking, London or Basingstoke.

What you will do

• Partner with the COO and senior Operations leaders, providing strategic financial insight, constructive challenge and commercial support.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting and analysis of claims performance across the product portfolio.
• Develop cost, resource and financial models to improve transparency, support planning and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Evaluate investment and transformation initiatives with Finance, Actuarial and Operations stakeholders, including business cases and impact measurement.
• Coordinate claims forecasting and oversee claims management information, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while strengthening governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant or Actuary with significant post-qualified experience in a complex financial environment.
• Strong Finance Business Partnering experience and the ability to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders.
• Deep understanding of FP&A, forecasting and business performance management in a large or complex organisation.
• Experience developing financial models, claims forecasts, resource plans and business cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams through change and transformation.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, insurance, group risk or group income protection.
• Interest in finance systems, technology, continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
