Data Engineer

TL;DR

Data Engineer: Designing and implementing data pipelines across multiple source and destination systems with an accent on ETL process optimization and data reliability. Focus on translating business requirements into end-to-end technology solutions and maintaining the analytics platform.

Location: Must be based in Cluj, Romania. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Design and implement data pipelines across diverse source and destination systems.
• Continuously improve ETL processes to enhance reliability, performance, and security.
• Translate complex business and client requirements into robust technology solutions.
• Manage and maintain the analytics platform, including bug investigation and system monitoring.
• Develop deep expertise in data structures to derive actionable insights.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to document and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Cluj, Romania.
• Ability to work onsite at least three days per week.
• Strong proficiency in SQL scripting for querying and exploring large datasets.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, PowerShell, or C#.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with git version control and collaborative development.
• Understanding of the full application development lifecycle.
