What you will do

• Design and develop production-quality REST APIs and backend microservices for Azure hirify.global Files.
• Build end-to-end API functionality including implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop cloud-native components using Docker and Kubernetes-based architectures.
• Integrate database technologies like PostgreSQL or MongoDB into application logic and data access patterns.
• Collaborate with architects and product management to translate requirements into scalable, secure services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to improve system reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in backend services or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or C#.
• Proven experience building microservices and REST APIs from design to production.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based service development (beyond basic administration).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB for API development.
• Must be based in or able to work from the San Jose, CA office in a hybrid capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience operating cloud-native distributed systems in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Python for automation, tooling, and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, or message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve software development productivity.
