What you will do

• Design, develop, and own production-quality REST APIs and backend service components for Azure hirify.global Files (ANF) cloud services.
• Build API functionality end-to-end, encompassing design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop cloud-native microservices using containerized architectures with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage service object lifecycle workflows and implement data access patterns using PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Collaborate with architects and product management to translate requirements into scalable and secure services.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term reliability and performance improvements.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of software engineering experience building production backend services or cloud-native platforms.
• Hands-on development proficiency in Go, C++, or C#.
• Demonstrated experience developing REST APIs and microservices through the full SDLC.
• Deep engineering experience with Docker and modifying Kubernetes-based service components.
• Practical experience using PostgreSQL or MongoDB as part of application development.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in San Jose, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating distributed systems in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Background in cloud storage, data protection, or data management platforms.
• Python skills for automation, tooling, and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience applying AI-assisted engineering tools for productivity and code quality.
