Accountant (Fintech)

Location: 100% remote, but must be based in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, or Meizhou and legally authorized to work in Mainland China

What you will do

• Manage clients' daily financial transactions and complete general ledger posting processes.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Maintain full sets of accounts for a diverse portfolio of Hong Kong-based clients.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
• Prepare and maintain audit schedules covering fixed assets, AP, AR, accruals, and prepayments.
• Ensure accounting treatments and financial reports comply with SME-FRS and complete additional accounting and administrative duties.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of relevant accounting experience; accounting or corporate services firm experience is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of Hong Kong Accounting Standards.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero and advanced MS Office, especially Excel.
• Native Mandarin speaker with native-level written and spoken Chinese; Cantonese is an advantage.
• High fluency in written and spoken English and legal authorization to work in Mainland China.
