Accountant

Location: Levice, Slovakia; home office possible 2 days per week with core hours from 9:00 to 15:00.

Salary: €1,700 gross per month minimum basic wage component, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Process invoices, prepare payments, and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and support positive vendor relationships.
• Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies.
• Assist with month-end closing and prepare accounts payable reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and identify process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of finance experience, including 2 years in a similar role in an international environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong accuracy, discrepancy-resolution skills, organization, and communication with internal and external customers.
• English proficiency at B2 level, with strong written and verbal communication.
