Semi-Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Semi-Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Python/React): Designing and building scalable financial systems and an AI-powered chatbot for remittances with an accent on core financial infrastructure and cloud-native solutions. Location: Hybrid (Mexico City or Bogota); currently fully remote with a future transition to hybrid.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain frontend and backend services.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and scale payment and financial systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Build cloud-native solutions using GCP services such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Firestore, and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and internal developer tooling.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for backend and React, JavaScript, and CSS for frontend.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Must be based in Mexico City or Bogota.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, or PagerDuty.
• Knowledge of gRPC and Redis.
