What you will do

• Design and own the end-to-end architecture of a production-grade tax filing platform.
• Develop secure backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build responsive, intuitive frontend interfaces for complex workflows.
• Integrate third-party APIs and optimize system performance.
• Utilize AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and data integrity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional fullstack software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and complex UI development.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Must be based in Jamaica, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, or Belize.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech, tax software, or compliance platforms.
• Background in designing scalable cloud-based architectures.
• Familiarity with distributed engineering teams and asynchronous collaboration.
