Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python/FastAPI): Architecting and building a modern tax filing platform from the ground up with an accent on security, accuracy, and reliability. Location: Remote (must be based in Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, or Costa Rica). Working hours: U.S. Client Business Hours.

What you will do

• Design and build production-grade web applications and secure backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces and reusable UI components for complex, form-heavy workflows.
• Own end-to-end application architecture, including data models, service boundaries, and technical direction.
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering workflows using Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate delivery.
• Implement robust validation and security measures for handling sensitive financial information.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Full Stack Software Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and REST API development.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Must be based in Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, or Costa Rica.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech, tax software, or compliance platforms.
• Background in building highly secure applications and scalable software architecture.
• Experience working in asynchronous, distributed engineering teams.
