Presales Customer Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver Proof of Concepts (PoCs) across Security, Networking, and Zero Trust portfolios.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the entire customer lifecycle from onboarding to maturity and expansion.
• Drive platform adoption and identify strategic cross-sell/up-sell opportunities to meet revenue and acquisition quotas.
• Conduct technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to translate technical capabilities into business ROI for C-level executives.
• Leverage AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks like RFPs and security questionnaires.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions or Sales Engineering.
• Deep expertise in web security (DDoS, WAF, TLS), networking (BGP, DNS, TCP/UDP), and Zero Trust (ZTNA, SASE).
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting with JavaScript, Python, Golang, or BASH.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with an understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Must be based in Sydney, Australia

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Workers AI and AI Gateway.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
