TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Building and scaling product experiences and systems for commercial contractors with an accent on frontend applications, backend services, and APIs. Focus on designing reliable systems, mentoring engineers, and integrating AI-assisted development workflows.

Location: Hybrid (Tues-Thurs in office). Hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Raleigh, and Toronto. Must be based in the US (excluding AK, HI, KY, MS, NE, NM, ND, RI, SD, WV, WY) or Canada.

Salary: $168,000 - $224,000 base salary + annual bonus + stock options

What you will do

• Design and maintain high-quality features across frontend and backend applications.
• Own projects through the full lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to rollout and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
• Build user-facing experiences and supporting APIs with a focus on observability and reliability.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate development, debugging, and documentation workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong fundamentals in both frontend and backend software engineering.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday through Thursday).
• Must be located in the USA (excluding certain states) or Canada.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and React.
• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience in SaaS or vertical software for operational workflows.
• Practical experience using AI coding agents like Claude Code.
