What you will do

• Own the technical delivery of key product initiatives using Python (FastAPI), React, and Postgres.
• Partner with the Head of Engineering and CPTO to translate product vision into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and ship high-quality production code while contributing to architecture and design sessions.
• Improve engineering practices around testing, observability, deployment, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to solve complex customer problems.
• Help shape the platform evolution and contribute to hiring exceptional engineering talent.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience owning complex technical projects end-to-end.
• Strong full-stack development experience, preferably with Python and React.
• Proficiency in SQL, including relational data reasoning and schema design.
• Experience building scalable, secure, production-grade SaaS applications.
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, and cloud-native development.
• Must be based in San Francisco, CA

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and modern deployment practices (CI/CD, observability, monitoring).
• Background in building data-intensive products or analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, statistics, or experimentation.
• Experience working in early-stage, high-growth SaaS startups.
• Experience building products for enterprise customers with complex technical environments.
